Return to Our House

It took two tries to get just the right yellow. The first one was a bit too...err...Velveetay. Wendy stenciled the Chinese symbols around the top of the room. They say things like "peace", "happiness", etc. We thought they probably said nothing of the sort, but several visiting Chinese-speakers have confirmed that the stencils are accurate as advertised.

The "breakfast nook" in our kitchen. The next to last symbol on the right means "peace"...we were just told this by Craig's officemate Jianli.
Here it is: the rest of our kitchen. Jianli says the other symbols mean "love", "joy", and maybe "forever", but he can't tell very well from the picture.
